Rashamon was formed around 2002 as a mainly laptop based act. The name and frequently guitar loops were provided by Seb Wyatt and occasionally for live performances they were joined by Michael Huggett on bass.
The sound of Rashamon is a kind of skewed melodic, glitched pop with hip hop and post rock leanings. There have been a number of releases on the Dizzy Tiger, Passive Aggressive and Highpoint Lowlife labels and at one time there was even a play on Rob da Bank on Radio 1.
