I'm blaming it all on Jeremy Sinclair, my ill mannered and elitist stuffed animal. If he hadn't suddenly perished in a horrific accident involving a blender and a 17 car pile up then I'd probably have completed hundreds of blog updates by now. Maybe even thousands. Who knows? Not Jeremy, that's for sure.
I went to his funeral, an indecent affair with a tokenistic smattering of well wishers and hand puppets. Dougal McAllister Font (the rocking horse) did a fitting eulogy, spoilt somewhat when a brattish child leapt on top of him and demanded he went faster. We all got drunk afterwards and played kiss chase in the park. Nobody won.
Still, my mood has alleviated somewhat. It's probably due to the pressure being lifted of both departed Jeremy and the insistent police investigation finally being put to bed (both literally and submetaphorically). And being in a good mood naturally leads to less productivity in the area of intense navel gazing.
The sun seems to be out a fair bit at the moment. Sometimes with a hat on, sometimes without. This has led to great lethargy, the least well regarded of all great things, and with great lethargy comes scant responsibility. Still, at least there are BBQs.
So, writing - none.
Music - nada.
TV watching? Well, I've just completed Season 1 of Voyager and started Season 4 of DS9. The rest of DS9 I'm very much looking forward to. Voyager, less so. Neelix is such a prick.
However, I'm onto Season 3 of The Leftovers which is turning out to be possibly one of the finest TV series I've encountered for some time. I also like the fact that it IS only three series. My attention span seems to diminish with each passing year and so that suits it just fine.
But you don't really want me to waffle on further about TV shows I do or don't care for. Do you? (If you do then please let me know as I could be looking at this blog posting malarkey all wrong).
I can tell you that music is definitely on the way soon. I can feel it a comin'. Just not quite sure in what shape or form just yet. I reckon that summer will have to be the time for choons and autumn I can relegate for writing. I really do intend to do that once more. It's just difficult when you're incredibly lazy.
